CALLING ALL LLANDOVERY THEATRE YOUTH ACTORS!

Saturday October 15th at the Theatre, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Youth Acting workshop with Amy Morgan

Doors open at 10.30, for newcomers to enrol.

We are currently working on Shakespeare plays, prior to deciding on a definite choice for our Festival Youth production 2012, as part of the celebration of local youth performance talent during Olympic Year.  We are planning to present a number of projects at our Festival, and this is the one for the Youth Acting Company.

Llandovery Theatre Company is a Charity, and this year received a grant from the Baily Thomas Charitable Fund and the RTR Foundation, to support our work with young people with learning disabilities. This is a programme of work we began in 1993, and the workshops produced many shows, ranging from pantomimes like Cinderella and Treasure Island, to 'Under Milk Wood' and 'A Christmas Carol'  - and our most recent, a production of Aladdin. 

We aim, in all our work, to foster, support and enable young people to develop their full potential and talents, through participation in theatre performance.  We welcome participants of all abilities and skills, and many of our young performers have gone on to drama school, worked in professional theatre, T.V. and film, and/or become drama teachers, and many return to work alongside us helping the younger aspiring performers.
